Practice Incentive program (PIP)

Practice Incentive Program (PIP) Digital Incentive (formerly the PIP eHealth Incentive Payment or ePIP)eligibility criteria has been revised. In addition to the existing criteria, general practices are now required to upload a specified number of shared health summaries (SHS) to the My Health Record (formerly the Personally Controlled Electronic Health Record [PCEHR]).

Because the new ePIP Digital Health Incentive mandates practitioner participation in the My Health Record, significant new risks and responsibilities for the practice and its staff have been identified.

General and individual practitioners need to carefully consider these risks and responsibilities before participating in the ePIP Digital Health Incentive.
