Tailored programs and initiatives for ADF registrars

As an Australian Defence Force (ADF) registrar, there are many resources within and outside of the RACGP to support you during your training.

RACGP supports

  • The RACGP ADF team provides tailored support including an ADF specific orientation, mentorship and additional flexibility such as extra leave entitlements. Reach out to your training coordinator or ADF medical educator for more information.
  • RACGP GP Support Program: a free confidential counselling and support service for RACGP members

Note: Please be aware that most ADF personnel cannot access healthcare or mental health care outside of the ADF. ADF medical officers are an exception, but they must advise the ADF of any care they receive or pay privately. They may also be required to disclose any conditions and treatment.
