Tailored and culturally-safe support services to help you thrive
Becoming a GP is a long journey. As an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander registrar, you’ve worked hard and earned your place. You bring deep cultural knowledge, strength, and connection that enriches the profession and the communities you serve. Your culture is a source of healing, pride, and resilience. Staying connected to Country, family, language, and community is an important part of maintaining your wellbeing.
There are many support options available to help you thrive on your journey to Fellowship. These include:
- Indigenous General Practice Trainee Network (IGPTN): peer and cultural support, training advice and connection to other Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander doctors
- Australian Indigenous Doctors Association (AIDA): guidance, advocacy and mentoring.
