Description
This item originally contained sulphur tablets which were manufactured by WR Cartwright Ltd. of Sydney in about 1920. Sulphur used internally was mainly for laxative purposes. It was classed as a 'mildly irritant laxative'. In the early days it was also used as an antiseptic in diphtheria, but was not regarded as effective. It was also regarded as useful in reducing the pain of chronic rheumatism.
