This is a glass-and-bakelite haemometer which was manufactured in the USA by the AMSCO company company in about 1950. It comprises of measurement and extraction viols and a bakelite receptacle for the stowage of haematin solutions and blood, during analysis. This item was marketed under the name of its prototype’s inventor, Swiss haematologist Dr Hermann Sahli.
