Nominations now open to join RACGP Expert Committees
Nominations are now open for eligible RACGP members to join the RACGP Expert Committees (RECs).
Eligible members are also invited to nominate as Chair of a REC.
The RECs contribute expertise in specific areas to the development of RACGP position statements, submissions, guidelines, resources and tools aimed at supporting the general practice profession.

As a REC member, you will play a critical role in providing advice and expertise to RACGP Board and executive team. You will use your knowledge skills and experience to shape your college and Australian general practice.

The RACGP is also calling for nominations for the Chair on each of these committees. Positions will be for a three-year period commencing at the RACGP AGM, to be held on 17 November 2021.

How to nominate to become a REC member or Chair
To nominate to become a REC member, first read the REC Terms of Reference and selection criteria, then send your completed nomination form along with your current CV to the RACGP via firstname.lastname@example.org.
To nominate to become the Chair of your committee, first read the RACGP Expert Committee Board Subcommittee Terms of Reference and selection criteria and responsibilities of REC chairs then send your completed nomination form along with your current CV to the RACGP via email@example.com
Nominations close at 5pm AEST, Wednesday 25 August 2021.
RACGP Fellows who are financial members as of 1 July 2021 are eligible to apply to join each of the five RECs:
- 12pm AEST Friday 6 August 2021 – Nominations open
- 5pm AEST Wednesday 25 August 2021 – Nominations close
- September 2021 – REC Chairs and Committee members selected
- RACGP Annual General Meeting 2021 – REC Chairs and Committee members commence their term
