How to apply

You can apply for the Rural Generalist Fellowship any time after you are accepted onto the Fellowship Support Program or Remote Vocational Training Scheme.

As part of, or in addition to your FRACGP requirements, you’ll be required to complete:

  • 6 months of core emergency medicine training
  • 12 months of general practice community training in an MMM3-7 location
  • 12 months of Additional Rural Skills Training

A $950 application fee will apply. You’ll also be required to pay an Additional Rural Skills Training fee prior to participating in your chosen skill. This fee will vary according to the discipline chosen.

You’re expected to achieve Fellowship within five calendar years from the commencement of training.

For more information about the training program and fees, contact us or see our Rural Generalist Fellowship Training Handbook.
