The Committee
The NSW&ACT Faculty is committed to supporting New Fellows in their career journeys and utilising our committee to assist in developing educational, networking and advocacy for this particular group.
The RACGP defines New Fellows as people who have achieved their FRACGP/FARGP within the last five years.
The focus of the new Fellows Committee is to:
- play a key role in supporting New Fellows through their crucial first five years of independent practice
- provide support, advocacy, mentorship and facilitation of personal development and career/professional guidance for new Fellows with up to five years’ experience post-Fellowship
- identify areas of need and develop relevant education, materials and resources
- promote a sense of belonging and representation
- enable networking opportunities and encourage peer support through professional and social avenues.
