The RACGP National Faculty for GPs in Training (GPiT) was created to support medical students, pre-vocational doctors, registrars, and New Fellows throughout their early career journey.

Pre-career GPs, GP trainees and new GPs, are the future of health care in our communities. To accurately represent you, our council only consists of members who are registrars or new fellows, and each of them serves as a specialised representative for each state, territory, or training pathway. Many of our council representatives hold positions on other councils across the RACGP and our Faculty Chair sits on the RACGP Board of Directors—ensuring your voice is heard across all levels of the college.

In addition to our internal advocacy work, we also represent the perspective of GPs in Training through our contributions to discussions that directly shape national health policies and the RACGP’s position on contemporary issues.

Throughout the year, the GPiT Faculty runs a variety of specialised activities and events to support your professional development and connect you with experienced colleagues.

We hope you will find your journey to becoming a GP a rewarding one and look forward to continuing to represent you.
