A few words from the President-elect

Dear Colleague

Thank you for the trust you have placed in me to serve as RACGP President. I am grateful for the opportunity to represent our profession.

I want to acknowledge and thank Dr Michael Wright for his leadership, service and commitment to the College and our members during his presidency.

Throughout this campaign, members have been clear with me about what matters: a stronger voice, a sustainable profession and a College that backs every GP.

My focus will be on tangible outcomes: stronger investment in general practice, better support for practices and our workforce, less unnecessary red tape, protection of specialist GP scope, and a College that is more accountable to its members.

I will bring a practical, collaborative and determined approach to this role, working with members, governments and our partners to deliver meaningful change. Above all, I want members to see and feel the difference our advocacy makes for your practices, our profession and the patients you care for.
