The ACSQHC’s Australian charter of healthcare rights aims to create a common understanding of the rights of people receiving healthcare.
The RACGP’s General Practice Patient Charter: A guide for implementation is aligned with the ACSQHC’s Australian charter of healthcare rights, and describes the responsibilities of patients.
Some states and territories have patient charters that are unique to that state or territory and developed specifically for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
