The RACGP Practice Technology and Management Unit are developing a series of education kits for GPs and their practice teams.
Each education kit will focus on a topic relating to practice technology and systems and can be used as a self-guided learning activity for GPs and general practice staff, or can be used by practice teams as part of a professional development session.
The education kits are an open-access resource and will take about an hour to work through, topics include:
My Health Record
The My Health Record education kit will ensure general practices can meet their legislative requirements for staff training on the use of My Health Record.
High-quality health records
The ‘high-quality health records’ education kit will detail the features of high-quality health records, the importance of coding essential clinical data, and strategies for the effective use of GP clinical information systems.
Privacy and managing health information
The privacy education kit will cover how to collect, retain, share, and manage patient information in accordance with privacy legislation.
