Introduction to My Health Record in general practice

About this education kit

Last revised: 08 Jan 2025

General practices are legislatively obligated to provide My Health Record training to staff members before they are authorised to access My Health Record.

This resource is an ‘education kit’ that general practitioners and other practice team members can work through as a self-directed learning activity to familiarise them with:

  • how to use the My Health Record system accurately and responsibly
  • the legal obligations on healthcare provider organisations and individuals using My Health Record
  • the consequences of breaching those obligations.

It is anticipated that the content will take approximately one hour to work through.

General Practitioners (GPs) can self-record this activity for CPD purposes.

This event attracts CPD points and can be self recorded
