The Practice

City Medical Practice is a privately owned and operated GP practice, located over two sites. Its main practice is located in the Burnie CBD and a branch practice is located in Upper Burnie - a small but busy shopping district five minutes from the CBD.

The main practice has thirteen consulting rooms, one treatment room, one procedure room and one sterilising room. Five GP's currently work in the practice and they are assisted by 1.5 FTE nurses. A number of allied health professionals provide a visiting service to the practice, including regular diabetic and care plan clinics.

The consulting hours are Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 7.30pm.The practice utilises the after-hours triage service of GP Assist to minimise out-of-hours calls. The GP will be required to participate in the after-hours roster as well as visit patients in the local aged care facilities. The practice offers a mixture of bulk and private billing.

The practice is fully computerised. The Upper Burnie practice has three well equipped consulting rooms and a procedure/nurses’ room. One full-time GP currently works in the practice and they are assisted by a part-time nurse and a receptionist.

The consulting hours are Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 5.00pm. This practice is also fully computerised with brand new medical equipment and furniture throughout.

What’s on offer?

The practice is offering a competitive remuneration package based on a percentage of earnings and welcomes discussions with potential candidates.

The practice offers a generous relocation grant, as well as four weeks paid accommodation and use of a vehicle upon arrival. In conjunction with the practice, HR+ will organise a comprehensive orientation program on arrival.
