As of July 1st this year, new Ahpra guidelines and rules relating to cosmetic surgery became live. There has been much confusion in the media about requirements for both practitioners and patients, in particular relating to referrals. In this session, we will clarify the guidelines for GPs who might be approached by patients for referrals and discuss how these new guidelines might affect those practising cosmetic procedures. Also, as of September 1st this year revised guidelines relating to telehealth will come into force. We touch on this topic as well.
