Gilbert has been the Training Programs Manager since 2018 and is responsible for the operational delivery of RACGP fellowship programs such as the Practice Experience Program (PEP) – both Standard and Specialist streams, and the new Fellowship Support Program (FSP). In this role, Gilbert has worked closely with International Medical Graduates, medical recruiters, general practice owners, medical educators, GP supervisors, the Department of Health and other stakeholders.
Georgie has been in the Workforce Solutions team at Rural Health West since 2011. During this time, Georgie has focussed on permanent GP recruitment, and the various retention programs that allow GPs access to Medicare provider numbers and support after commencement. Georgie has had a great deal of experience with International Medical Graduate recruitment to rural Western Australia, and loves the unique and complex nature of each case. Georgie works closely with AHPRA, the RACGP, ACRRM and Medicare and is very familiar with the processes and procedures. Rural Health West is an expert in the field, and have become well known for a personalised, free service to candidates, general practices, and communities.
Edward is the Executive Officer in the Education business unit of the RACGP. He’s been working with International Medical Graduates since 2016, and has experience in the pre-entry, registration, assessment and Fellowship stages of the IMG journey.
Jenny was awarded Fellowship in 1999. She worked in regional Victoria until 2002 and has since worked in general practice in Melbourne. She has recent experience in traditional cradle-to-grave general practice, and in acute care in a tertiary hospital based clinic. She has worked for the RACGP since 2008, initially as a censor and since 2019 as National Clinical Lead - Assessment Operations and Committee Liaison. Her interest in medical education relates particularly to international medical graduates and the transition of Specialist IMGs as they become established in practice in Australia.
