Early Release of Superannuation – Practical Guidance for GPs

Webinar 29 Jun, 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM (AWST)

Early release of super is a growing and often complex issue in general practice. Join this case-based webinar to explore the GP’s role, with practical scenarios such as bariatric, dental and fertility procedures.
Facilitated by RACGP Vice President and WA Chair Dr Ramya Raman and featuring medico-legal expertise, this session will provide clear guidance, highlight key risks, and support confident decision-making in everyday practice.

Learning outcomes

  1. Identify the GP’s role and responsibilities when completing documentation for early release applications
  2. Apply medico-legal principles to common clinical scenarios (e.g. bariatric, dental and fertility procedures)
  3. Recognise potential risks, pitfalls, and areas of ambiguity in supporting early release requests
  4. Demonstrate practical approaches to managing patient expectations and ensuring appropriate clinical decision-making
