Self-care for GPs

Self-care is vital for all GPs’ health and wellbeing, and looking after your physical, mental, emotional, and social health can help to mitigate the risks of being affected by work-related stress, burnout, and mental health problems.
This webinar, presented by Dr Adele Stewart, a GP and accredited Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction Teacher, will discuss various self-care strategies you can implement, and will explore the evidence-based benefits and nuances of mindfulness.
As part of this webinar, you’ll be invited to participate in a 15–20-minute mindfulness meditation practice. There will also be an opportunity for a dedicated Q&A to have all of your questions answered.

Dr Adele Stewart MBBS FRACGP has been a GP for 30 years. Adele has gained Recognition of Extended Skills in Psychological Medicine for Fellows of the RACGP and practices in a trauma sensitive framework. Adele is also a Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction Teacher and has a special interest in mindfulness-based interventions, complex trauma and the psychological aspects of chronic pain, particularly chronic pelvic pain.
