Benzodiazepine deprescribing masterclass: practical skills for GPs

Webinar 24 Mar, 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM (AEST)

In this 90-minute Masterclass, GPs will gain practical strategies and deeper insights into deprescribing benzodiazepines and Z-drugs (including Zopiclone and Zolpidem) in patients with more complex presentations. Drawing on the evidence-based Maudsley Deprescribing Guidelines, the workshop combines real-world case studies, breakout discussions, and reflective exercises to help participants troubleshoot hyperbolic tapering, navigate challenges during the tapering process, and facilitate collaborative decision-making. By the end, participants will leave with practical skills, actionable strategies, and greater confidence to support complex patients in safely reducing or discontinuing their medication.
