Update on peripheral vascular disease (PVD) and superficial and deep venous disease

This webinar will provide GP’s with an update on the prevalence of peripheral vascular disease in Australia. Learn how to identify typical and atypical symptoms of PVD. GPs will also learn how to recognise the range of venous pathologies and their clinical presentations. Specialists will discuss which conditions may benefit from further investigation and management as well as which patients should be referred for specialist review.

Learning outcomes

  1. Be aware of the risk factors for peripheral vascular disease as well as common patterns of presentation
  2. Discuss new treatment options for peripheral vascular disease
  3. Identify and recognise conditions that may represent venous conditions
  4. Discuss how to commence investigations and management of these conditions and recognise when to refer onwards
