Provider Connect Australia

On-demand recorded 4 Apr 2023

Provider Connect Australia (PCA) is a new online tool designed to reduce administrative burden on general practices and other healthcare providers. It gives practices a single place to enter and update information about the practice, such as opening hours, general practitioners and services offered and automatically shares those details with healthcare directory providers and other organisations.

PCA is operated by the Australian Digital Health Agency (ADHA) and is secure, reliable and entirely free-of-charge. The ADHA and the Department of Health and Aged Care are working together to provide early access to PCA to general practices currently registered with Vaccine Clinic Finder (VCF) Connect.

Delivered in collaboration with the ADHA and the Australian Association of Practice Management (AAPM), this webinar will help general practices learn more about PCA, its time-saving benefits, and the steps involved in making the transition to PCA.

(Note: practices not registered with VCF Connect will be able to register for PCA as part of the broader national rollout for all health care organisations from July 2023 onwards)

Learning outcomes

  1. Describe what Provider Connect Australia is and its potential benefits
  2. Explain how Provider Connect Australia creates unique identifiers for healthcare services, service delivery locations and practitioners’ service delivery roles and how these are linked across the healthcare system
  3. Register for Provider Connect Australia
  4. Update practice and practitioner details via Provider Connect Australia.
