An interventional multidisciplinary approach to lung cancer and COPD

This webinar will update you on how the treatment of lung cancer has changed significantly in the last decade. Specialists will discuss how a multidisciplinary approach is now the gold standard throughout the process and how the new system may challenge what was once considered an acceptable approach. Specialists will also provide an update on the advances in the management of COPD, and how an interventional multidisciplinary approach is utilised.

Dr Tim Senior
MBBS, FRACGP

Tim Senior works as a GP at an Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Service in South West Sydney, and is involved in teaching medical students and GP registrars, and is active in policy development and advocacy in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health. He is an award winning writer on General Practice and Public Health, and is a contributing editor and member of Croakey Health Media. He is active on social media, and was named as one of the top 10 health users of Twitter in Australia.

Presenters

Professor Alvin Ing

Professor Ing is a Respiratory Medicine Physician and Clinical Program Head of the Cardiovascular and Respiratory program at Macquarie University Hospital. Professor Ing pioneered the use of endobronchial valves in patients with COPD and emphysema (ELVR), and performed the first bronchial thermoplasty procedure in NSW.

Dr Tajalli Sagahie

Dr Saghaie is a Respiratory and Sleep physician with experience in interventional pulmonology, rigid bronchoscopy and management of large airways, diagnostic and therapeutic bronchoscopy, management of pleural disease, and multidisciplinary care of lung cancer.
