This in-person session from 8 April 2025 reviewed the key components of the assessment of women who are perimenopausal or menopausal, including: 

  • Up to date guidelines and evidence for menopause therapies 
  • Managing menopause after cancer 
  • Preventative care at the time of menopause 
  • What’s new/changing in menopause 
  • Case studies

Learning outcomes

  1. Demonstrate knowledge of current guidelines on the assessment of client experiencing perimenopausal and menopausal symptoms considering both the physical and psychological aspects of care
  2. Identify and address the unique challenges of managing menopause in patients who have had cancer, including management of vasomotor symptoms
  3. Facilitate preventative care for menopausal patients, including screening, lifestyle interventions and management of medical risk factors
