Optimising your billing strategy

Overview

The Optimising your billing strategy CPD solution is designed to assist members of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) (GPs and GP practice owners) to transition towards a mixed billing model in their practice.  

The CPD solution consists of four activities:   

•  Understanding your practice costs and identifying alternative billing arrangements (5.0 hours, Measuring outcomes)  
• Testing alternative billing arrangements and strategies (3.0 hours, Reviewing performance)  
• Setting fees and building your fee list (2.0 hours, Hybrid - 1.0 hour Reviewing performance, 1.0 hour Measuring Outcomes)   
• Implementing your new billing arrangement (8.0 hours, Hybrid - 3.0 hours Reviewing performance, 5.0 hours Measuring Outcomes)   

This CPD solution has been structured as a Plan, Do, Study, Act (PDSA) module and contains a mix of two types of CPD activities: Reviewing performance and Measuring outcomes.   

You can choose to complete the activities within the solution as an individual GP, or as part of your practice team.  

Complete all activities in this CPD solution and receive:   

• 7.5 hours for Measuring outcomes   
• 11 hours for Reviewing performance.
