Continuous professional development

CPD for general practitioners is changing in 2023. Many of you have asked whether existing training programs can be accredited as CPD for doctors. As the CPD changes come into effect, we will continue to review programs under the new system


Curriculum and syllabus

The RACGP Curriculum and Syllabus for Australian General Practice 2022 builds on the strengths of our previous curriculum and introduces a syllabus for general practice training. It is a user-friendly tool for GPs in any stage of their learning journey.


GP training team

We’re delighted to announce a number of key appointments to our GP training team. Staff have joined us from regional training organisations around the country and they will help us to ensure that AGPT program participants are transitioned to our profession-led approach smoothly.


ACRRM and RACGP form Joint venture company: Joint Colleges Training Services

The RACGP and ACCRM have announced a joint venture to oversee joint AGPT training program services: Joint Colleges Training Services. This will include Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health strategic health plans and staff, cultural educators, and cultural mentors.
