This webinar series provides an evidence-based update on the key aspects of screening, diagnosis, assessment and management of diabetes in primary care. The learning outcomes are:

• To apply research evidence and guideline recommendations to the non-pharmacological management of patients with diabetes, including weight loss, physical activity and nutrition
• To apply research evidence and best practice guideline recommendations to the pharmacological management of patients with diabetes, including an approach to rational prescribing and patient safety
• To apply a multidisciplinary approach to the management of patients with diabetes
• To apply a patient-centred approach to the management of patients with diabetes, including self-management and shared decision making.
