AJGP Clinical Challenge July 2019: Ageing

The Australian Journal of General Practice (AJGP), the peer-reviewed journal of the RACGP, provides evidence-based, articulate information to Australian general practitioners. This edition aims to help practitioners:
  • implement a function-focused approach in primary care to address the needs of people with functional decline
  • describe the clinical approach to men who present with non-specific androgen deficiency– like symptoms
  • review the key components of the assessment of women who are perimenopausal or menopausal, and discuss the benefits and risks of treatment
  • discuss evidence-based principles of management for older people living with human immunodeficiency virus in Australia
  • review GP supervisors’ and registrars’ experiences, perceptions and attitudes when providing in-practice care for older patients with chronic disease.
