Dr Harry Nespolon Grant

Be part of Dr Harry Nespolon’s legacy

Dr Harry Nespolon

‘We should always endeavour to do better, to break the mould, to include voices that haven’t been heard, to innovate and to learn from the experience of other jurisdictions,’
– Dr Harry Nespolon (dec.), RACGP President 2018-2020.

Harry was passionate about general practice and the people within it.

He was unafraid to tackle the difficult and sometimes controversial issues. He displayed extraordinary leadership during the COVID-19 pandemic. He also spoke out in support of some of Australia’s most marginalised patient groups.

Harry was resolute in his vision that general practice is the heart of the country’s health system and, by extension the health and wellbeing of all Australians. To honour Harry, a grant has been established in his name to fund research into GP wellbeing. The findings will be presented to the RACGP Board and Executive Leadership to inform how the RACGP can better support you.

If you wish to make a donation while registering for GP21, it will be gratefully accepted and you’ll be contributing to part of Harry’s legacy and help make a difference for Australia’s GP community. Alternatively, you can make a donation via the MyCause page.
