shareGP awarded international prize in collaboration and communication technology

The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) has been awarded a prestigious international prize for shareGP, the online collaboration space for Australian GPs, only six months after the platform was launched.

The Jive Digital Transformation Award will be presented at the JiveWorld17 conference on Wednesday 3 May. The Award acknowledges the RACGP, alongside major global brands including American Airlines, Citi and the Royal Bank of Canada, as a world’s best organisation for harnessing the power of collaboration and communication technology to engage with its members.

Winners were selected based on their industry-leading innovations and leadership in workforce collaboration or customer community engagement.

RACGP President Dr Bastian Seidel said the award reinforced shareGP as the leading secure online collaboration space for GPs in Australia.

“Receiving this significant international award confirms shareGP as the most direct and easy tool for GPs to collaborate and communicate with one another and Council members on the matters affecting our profession.

“We created shareGP as a professional collaboration space to improve member engagement and allow GPs to collectively create and share knowledge, in a highly secure digital environment.

“shareGP has been used by nearly 9,000 RACGP members with more than 1,700 general practice conversations and 23,000 log ins since its launch in September last year,” Dr Seidel said.

“To be recognised with an international award, less than 12 months after its launch, demonstrates what an exciting and collaborative platform shareGP is to share knowledge and support GPs.”
