The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) has launched shareGP, a secure online professional collaboration space for its 33,000 GP and registrar members.
The launch, at GP16 the national conference for general practice in Perth, is a milestone in the development of online tools for the profession and for the RACGP.
“This is a very exciting development as shareGP is a comprehensive online space on a scale unlike anything ever seen for general practice in Australia,” president of the RACGP Dr Frank R Jones said.
GPs can now collaborate in groups around individual interests and subject matter, share content including blogs and papers or research in a fully secure environment.
The platform, which is accessible on both mobile and desktop devices, has been operating for the last two months populated by guest GP bloggers who have created a rich space for their RACGP colleagues.
“shareGP will be the best way for general practice to keep informed and updated about the important issues and events that are happening. As GPs are the content drivers they will shape and lead the conversation,” Dr Jones said.
As the privacy of RACGP members is paramount shareGP complies to the highest industry standards, built on secure JIVE and OKTA software with a secure single sign on process.
GP16 – the RACGP’s annual conference for general practice – runs from September 29 - October 1 2016 at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre. Visit the GP16 website for more information.
