RACGP congratulates Australian GPs on Queen’s Birthday Honours

The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) applauds the outstanding contribution made to Australian communities by all general practitioners and healthcare professionals honoured in the Queen’s Birthday 2014 Honours list.

These prestigious awards celebrate the outstanding achievements and contributions of extraordinary Australians whose service has made a significant difference to Australian life or to humanity at large.

RACGP President, Dr Liz Marles, said the awards are testament to the ongoing commitment of GPs to enhance quality of care and access to health services for all people living in Australia in both rural and metropolitan settings.

“General practice is at the forefront of healthcare for all Australian communities and is in a very strong position to positively influence the lives of all Australians.

“The general practice profession should be immensely proud of all those colleagues named on the honours list for their outstanding efforts and commitment to primary healthcare and community well-being,” said Dr Marles.
