Consultations open for National Men and Women’s Health Strategies

The Australian Government Department of Health (DoH) is currently developing a National Men’s Health Strategy (2020–2030) and a National Women’s Health Strategy (2020–2030).

The strategies are intended to identify what is required to improve health outcomes for women and men and provide a framework for action.

Priority areas include mental health and wellbeing, chronic disease and preventive health, and healthy ageing. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples have been identified as a priority population.

The DoH is seeking broader stakeholder and community feedback on the respective draft strategies via survey.

To participate in the surveys visit the DoH website.  The consultation will close on Monday 5 November.
