If you would like to participate in either the telephone interview, the online survey, or both, please visit register your interest by Tuesday 3 April 2018. You will be directed to an AMR-managed website to answer a few short questions to determine your interest in taking part in one or two of the research phases. Participation is voluntary, those who do not register will not be contacted by AMR.

Become an accreditation surveyor in general practice
The RACGP has recently released the RACGP Standards for general practices (5th edition) (the Standards) which provide a framework for continuous improvement in practice.
Accreditation against the Standards is a peer-to-peer process whereby the practice team meets with their surveyor team to collaborate, learn and improve the practice’s systems to support quality and safety.
The accreditation agencies are currently inviting applications from GPs, practice managers and nurses who are interested in becoming surveyors.
Surveyors have a key role in supporting quality assurance and have a unique opportunity to make a difference to general practice.
The practice’s surveyor team has two members: a GP surveyor, who focuses on the clinical aspects and a co-surveyor, who focuses on the other aspects like patient feedback, infection control and information security.
Surveyors need to meet some specific requirements regarding qualifications, for example be a vocationally registered or qualified nurse or practice manager, and have relevant recent experience working in general practice.
Surveyors are provided with extensive training, support and mentoring through a buddy system.
