A program for medical practitioners
The RACGP’s Vocational Training Pathway is a three-year vocational training program for medical practitioners wishing to pursue a career as a specialist GP.
On completion of all of the requirements of the pathway registrars can apply for Fellowship of the RACGP. To view the requirements, see the Vocational Training Pathway – Requirements for Fellowship Policy.
There are two entry points into the Vocational Training Pathway.
Australian General Practice Training Program (AGPT) – with applications through the RACGP
The RACGP is responsible for the selection of 90% of rural and metropolitan candidates seeking to enter the AGPT Program, commencing with entry for the 2018 intake. Find out more about the RACGP AGPT selection process.
