Notice of RACGP policy update

This notice is to advise of the publication of the Registrar Membership Policy and the Registrar Membership Guidance Document

What does the policy cover?

The policy specifies how registrars can fulfil the requirement to be a financial RACGP member from the time of joining the RACGP Vocational Training Pathway and throughout their candidature.

The policy provides detailed information about:

  • membership state dates
  • membership and recognition of prior learning
  • required membership type
  • membership and training posts
  • responsibility for membership
  • membership during approved periods of leave
  • withdrawal.

The policy also outlines the consequence for non-compliance with the Vocational Training Pathway membership requirement. Only training undertaken while a registrar is a financial RACGP member will be recognised towards their requirements for Fellowship.
