Clause 4.3.ix has been updated to clarify the Program Time Requirements for Post-fellowship GPs training towards RACGP Rural Generalist Fellowship.

  • Previously, it was stated Program Time commenced from the start of the Additional Rural Skills Training (ARST). In some instances, the starting point for training may be rural general practice, or Core-Emergency Medicine Training.
  • It is clear Program Time starts when the first requirement of the RG program is undertaken.

Clause 4.3.ix has been amended to clarify the Program Time Requirements for part-time training for Post-fellowship GPs training towards RACGP Rural Generalist Fellowship.

  • Previously, the policy did not state the Program Time Requirements for part-time participants and did not specify the approvals.
  • The policy did not previously state the Rural Censor is responsible for approving extensions to the Program Time Requirements.
  • The requirements relating to Program Time Requirements for part-time participants is clear.
