This notice is to advise that the RACGP has updated its policy on requests for special arrangements that can be made with regards to the Clinical Exam.
The new Assessments and Examinations Special Arrangements Policy replaces the previous version and will come into effect immediately.
There are two changes to the document summarised in the table below.

Processing applications for special arrangements takes significant time and RACGP resources. Submitting an application as soon as practicable after enrolment ensures Candidates receive their outcome in a timely manner and RACGP staff are able to make the appropriate arrangements if approved. |
Stakeholders are clear the RACGP prefers early applications for special arrangements. |
| We have added the requirement under clause 5.2.4 that requests for special arrangements for the Clinical Exam be submitted at least 30 business days prior to the scheduled assessment date. |
The RACGP requires sufficient time for review and management of special arrangements given the nature of the Clinical Exam. |
RACGP staff have more time to assess and accommodate requests for special arrangements in the Clinical Exam. |

This policy and guidance come into effect immediately.
