This notice is to advise that the RACGP has updated Comprehensive Australian General Practice guide will come into immediate effect, superseding the previous corresponding policies as of today, Monday, 23 January 2023

Amendment to the definition of comprehensive Australian general practice

  • The RACGP requires practices to be evidence based and not limited to a specific interest or a subset of general practice.
  • Medical practice undertaken in a practice that does not meet the definition will not be eligible to contribute to general practice experience. 

Minor amendments to wording throughout the guide have been made.

  • These changes have been made to improve clarity and consistency, there are no changes to the intention of the guide.
  • There are no implications.
