Assessments and Examination candidate handbook Part 1 and Part 2

The addition of clause 1.1 allows applicants to enrol in an assessment up to 10 calendar days after the enrolment deadline. Late enrolments attract a $100 fee. These changes will come into effect for enrolments for the 2023.1 CCE onwards

The RACGP recognises there may be circumstances where an applicant or candidate may miss the enrolment deadline for an assessment. The RACGP will accept a late enrolment within 10 calendar days of the closure of enrolments.

The applicant or candidate does not need to demonstrate extenuating or unforeseen circumstances to be eligible for a late enrolment, however late enrolments will attract a fee of AUD $100.

No late enrolments will be accepted for enrolments received more than 10 calendar days after the closure of enrolments.

Applicants and candidates are clear on the timelines.

Clause 5 has been amended to align with current processes regarding assessment and examination incidents.

Clause 5 has been revised to improve clarity around incidents at assessments and examinations outside of the RACGP’s control.

Clause 5.2 has been amended to improve clarity regarding compensation for a reported incident during an assessment.

The amendments made to clause 5.2 clarify that all reported incidences will be investigated by the Council of Censors (or delegate). If an incident is determined to have impacted the candidate’s performance, the candidate may receive compensation in the form of a reduced enrolment fee for a future exam of the same segment.
