Find guidance, connection and support from a GP colleague
Building a career in general practice is rewarding, but for New Fellow GPs, it can also feel complex, isolating and demanding as you navigate the next stage of your career.
The RACGP Mentoring Program connects New Fellows with experienced GP peers who understand the realities of practice. Mentoring provides a confidential, supportive space to reflect, problem–solve and gain perspective from someone who’s already walked the same path.
Through one-to-one mentoring relationships, you’ll explore career direction, wellbeing, professional decisions and the everyday pressures of general practice – supported by a trusted colleague.
The program runs for eight months and includes structured matching and training for both mentors and mentees. It is available to all RACGP Fellows and is designed to build confidence, connection and sustainable careers in general practice.
