Congenital CMV: Common & commonly missed

Webinar summary

23 October 2018

Congenital CMV remains the most common and important cause of disease in neonates in Australia, although other infections do occur.

This webinar provides you with information to help you explain to patients how transmission can occur, including how often and those who are at higher risk. We discuss preventative steps to reduce the risk of exposure to CMV, when testing is appropriate for pregnant women/neonates, explain the diagnostic process and help you identify situations where referrals to a specialist may be appropriate.
