Medication Assisted Treatment for Opioid Dependence

Module 2 - Opioid Use Disorder, Pharmacology & dosing: A comprehensive series of modules with videos and interviews with MATOD experts. It includes live zoom session that will allow participants to ask questions of the experts.

On completion of modules 1 and 2 you'll be trained and recognised as a prescriber for methadone and buprenorphine based assisted treatment of opioid dependence.

KFP Online Pre-Exam Workshop Series 2022.2

This 2-part online series will assist general practice registrars and practice eligible candidates with their preparation for the Key Feature Problems (KFP) component of the FRACGP exam. Candidates will have the opportunity to answer a range of NEW KFP questions and discuss the answers under the guidance of RACGP medical educators.

RACGP Victoria's Basic Life Support course is a GP peer to peer experience, delivered by a GP trainer, Dr Rod Campain. This course covers recognition of an emergency, DRSABCD, chest compressions and rescue breathing using COVID-safe resuscitation masks and equipment.

It also includes a structured approach that GPs can use to treat all patients who may have a life threatening illness.

Completion of a BLS course is a requirement for the 2020-22 triennium. Secure your spot to update your BLS training and network with your peers.

MATOD Module 2 Workshop

Medication Assisted Treatment for Opioid Dependence (MATOD) - Module 2
Time: 8.30am to 12:30pm
Location: The Hotel Shamrock, Corner of Pall Mall &, Williamson St, Bendigo VIC 3550

The aim of this workshop is to provide practitioners with the skills and confidence to assess, manage and initiate patients on Opioid Replacement Therapy.

Program Schedule:
Module 1 online training
Focuses on evidence-based practice approaches that help prevent, identify and manage problems arising from opioid prescribing.
Module 2 Part A online training
The two hour online education component covers opioid use disorder and the pharmacology of buprenorphine and methadone.
Module 2 Part B face-to-face workshop
The four-hour interactive workshop consists of case based discussion facilitated by Dr Paul Grinzi and is accredited for 40 CPD points for the 2021-2022 triennium.
