Feeding and Faltering Growth in the First 12 Months

Nutrition is the main driver of growth in infants in their first 12 months. This session will address what to look out for during an infant health assessment in relation to their growth and development and will cover:
- Introduction to the Child & Family Health Service (CaFHS)
- Infant dietary requirements
- Supporting breastfeeding
- Recognition, assessment, and management of faltering growth.

Presented by Dr Liberty Gallus, Paediatrician and Ann Wiseman, Nurse Consultant, CaFHS.

Pelvic Pain Management Update

Dermatology for GPs - Darwin

This activity will provide you with the skills to increase your confidence in diagnosing, treating and referring a range of skin cancers and non-surgical modalities for field change frequently seen in general practice. Dermatology encompasses a wide range of skin conditions. With patients typically presenting first to their GPs at the sign of any skin conditions, this dermatology workshop is a must for all GPs looking to update their knowledge in this area. Each section of this workshop will consist of a theoretical and practical component. The highly interactive practical sessions will cover procedural skills in suturing and dermoscopy.

Introduction To Point-of-care Ultrasound - Mt Gambier, SA

The 'Introduction to point-of-care ultrasound for GPs' workshop is designed to support rural GPs to increase their understanding of the applications of point-of-care ultrasound in the diagnostic process. The training is delivered by rural GPs, emergency physicians and sonographers who are experienced in using ultrasound in their practice environment.

This full-day workshop will give participants the opportunity to identify practical applications of ultrasound technology in general practice settings and gain hands-on experience in the use of point of care ultrasound devices under the guidance of experts.

The workshop is a CPD Accredited Activity under the RACGP CPD Program (eligible for 40 points) and is approved for all categories of the Rural Procedural Grants Program.

The workshop runs from 8.30am to 4.30pm and will be offered to RACGP members at $695 (incl. GST) and to non-members for $995 (incl. GST). Morning tea and lunch will be provided.
