CPR for GPs - Fully Booked

Have you completed your CPR requirements for the 2023-25 CPD triennium?

RACGP SA is providing a CPR course delivered by St John SA in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) guidelines.

The course will cover the following:
- DRSABCD action plan and responding to emergency situations
- Managing unconscious breathing casualties
- Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)
- Using a defibrillator (AED)
- Legal issues in first aid
- Infection control.

Adult ADHD - Grand Rounds

These interactive grand rounds will expose you to some tricky adult ADHD cases that you may see in your practice. Improve your confidence in managing them appropriately through an evening of discussion with ADHD experts in the fields of psychiatry, psychology, and general practice.

The session will cover:
- Diagnosing adult ADHD
- Approach to the interplay of ADHD and common comorbidities
- Adult ADHD coaching and the role of the psychologist in case identification and management
- Initiation, monitoring and change of medication
- Multidisciplinary management pathways.

Presented by Dr Emilie Staehr, GP, A/Prof Oliver Schubert, Senior Consultant Psychiatrist and Jordana Edwards, Clinical Psychologist. Facilitated by Dr Cassandra Holt.

Women in General Practice Retreat - Expand Your Expertise

parkrun is a free, community event where you can walk, jog, or run 5k, volunteer or spectate. It is positive, welcoming and inclusive, there is no time limit, and no one finishes last.

The RACGP has partnered with parkrun Australia to promote the health and wellbeing of our communities. GP practices are encouraged to develop close links with their local parkrun to become a parkrun practice.

RACGP SA is pleased to be taking part in the Mt Barker parkrun. Members are invited to meet at registration prior to the parkrun, with light refreshments available following the event.

Introduction To Point-of-care Ultrasound - Port Augusta, SA

Experienced rural doctors and sonographers will guide you through the diverse applications of point-of-care ultrasound in primary care services using advanced, high-end mobile ultrasound equipment provided by our sponsor, GE Healthcare.

Capped at 30 participants, you'll rotate through six stations; eFast, deep venous thrombosis, heart and lung ultrasound, intravenous line placement and foreign object retrieval, musculoskeletal soft tissue and first trimester transabdominal obstetric ultrasound.

The workshop is a RACGP CPD Accredited Activity. GPs can earn 10 CPD hours (5 hours Education Activity and 5 hours Reviewing Performance) and is eligible for all categories of the Rural Procedural Grants Program.

The workshop runs from 8.30am to 4.30pm and offered to RACGP members at $995 (incl. GST) and to non-members at $1,295 (incl. GST). Morning tea and lunch will be provided.

SA Fellowship and Awards Ceremony 2024


The SA Fellowship and Awards Ceremony is the premier event on the RACGP SA calendar. It is an opportunity for the general practice community to honour New Fellows and celebrate their achievement of Fellowship and acknowledge award recipients.

All members of the general practice community are invited to attend the ceremony with colleagues, family and friends. A cocktail function follows the formal program.
