Introduction To Point-of-care Ultrasound - Tamworth, NSW

The 'Introduction to point-of-care ultrasound for GPs' workshop is designed to support rural GPs to increase their understanding of the applications of point-of-care ultrasound in the diagnostic process. The training is delivered by rural GPs, emergency physicians and sonographers who are experienced in using ultrasound in their practice environment.

This full-day workshop will give participants the opportunity to identify practical applications of ultrasound technology in general practice settings and gain hands-on experience in the use of point of care ultrasound devices under the guidance of experts.

The workshop is a CPD Accredited Activity under the RACGP CPD Program (eligible for 40 points) and is approved for all categories of the Rural Procedural Grants Program.

The workshop runs from 8.30am to 4.30pm and will be offered to RACGP members at $695 (incl. GST) and to non-members for $995 (incl. GST). Morning tea and lunch will be provided.

Skin Cancer Essentials - Sydney

Assessment and management in the general practice setting

Time: 9:00 am - 5.10 pm

Venue: Northern Beaches Hospital, Frenchs Forest

Skin cancer essentials is RACGP NSW&ACT workshop designed to upskill GPs in assessing and managing skin cancers in the general practice setting. The workshop provides practical learning experiences in dermoscopy, and a variety of biopsy and suturing techniques to equip GPs with the necessary skills to safely assess and manage their patients with skin cancers.

Our wellbeing weekend offers you the chance to re-energise and reflect on your own wellbeing. Facilitated discussions will cover topics under the theme of 'connection'.
We're currently finalising the program, but we can share that sessions will cover connecting with life, nourishment and creativity. The program includes a range of activities, such as yoga, surfing, dance, and more, that you can enjoy at a beautiful seaside location.

CPR Course for GPs - Coffs Harbour

Venue: Opal Cove Resort

Time: 7.00-9.00 pm

Cost: RACGP members: $89, Non-members: $99

This course is designed to provide GPs with the necessary Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) knowledge and skills as required in the 2020-22 RACGP QI&CPD triennium. These RACGP courses are nationally accredited and presented by ReViva First Aid. Certificates in CPR are issued on completion of the respective course.

The RACGP Fellowship and Awards Ceremony
is a celebratory occasion to honour new Fellows and formally recognise the hard work and dedication required to achieve RACGP Fellowship.

Two sessions will be delivered at the December ceremony with a limit of 80 New Fellows. Guest numbers will be capped at three per New Fellow.

Ceremony times available in Sydney on 3 December 2022:

Please note: The RACGP will be closely monitoring government advice to ensure the safety of our attendees. The ceremonies are currently adhering to the four square meter rule however, the team will review this closer to the date of each ceremony and release more tickets if this is within government regulations and health advice.
