Clinical Competency Exam (CCE)
The CCE is an online exam delivered via Zoom. Candidates are responsible for sourcing a suitable exam space to use that is private, free of distractions or interruptions and has a stable internet connection (eg office or home study). For further information visit the CCE resources page.
Applied Knowledge Test (AKT) and Key Feature Problem (KFP)
The AKT and KFP is delivered face-to-face in venues. The exams will be held in capital cities and a limited number of regional centres across Australia. Venues may be subject to run based on a minimum number of enrolled candidates. All enrolled candidates will receive details of their exam venue approximately four weeks prior to the exam.
Venue allocations
If you have enrolled in the AKT and/or KFP exams, please wait until your venue is confirmed prior to making any travel arrangements.
The RACGP will allocate you to the exam venue closest to your preferred address on your membership by priority of enrolment date.
Some venues can only accommodate a set number of candidates and numbers will be capped accordingly. If your closest exam venue reaches capacity, you will be allocated to the next closest available venue. No specific venue allocation is guaranteed or should be presumed at any time.
Full details on the venue allocation process are detailed in Part 2: RACGP Fellowship Examinations, clause 1.2 of the RACGP Assessments and Examinations Candidate Handbook.
