My candidacy
All candidates who enrol in a Fellowship exam after 1 January 2019 have three years to complete their candidacy. If you have enrolled in an exam since 2019.1, you can track your journey to Fellowship in the My candidacy portal.
Special arrangements are available to the following groups of candidates:
- Candidates with exam results expiring on 30 June 2020 or 31 December 2020, who are eligible to sit the 2020.1 or 2020.2 RCE, may be eligible for an automatic six-month extension of results to maintain their eligibility for the delayed clinical exams
- All candidates eligible to sit the RCE or Clinical Competency Exam (CCE) in 2020 or 2021 will be granted an additional semester in their candidacy. Candidates can sit one or more exams in this semester, or use the time to prepare for a later exam.
- All candidates who were enrolled in the 2020.2 AKT or KFP as at 9am on Friday 9 October 2020 will be granted an additional semester in their candidacy. Candidates can sit one or more exams in this semester, or use the time to prepare for a later exam.
Candidates may be eligible for more than one of these special arrangements. Eligible candidates may have a maximum of eight semesters in which they can enrol in exams over four years (plus approved suspensions and leave).

Important things to know about the clinical exams:
- The 2020.1 OSCE was replaced by the Remote Clinical Exam (RCE) in October 2020, but is still considered part of the 2020.1 exam semester for the purposes of pre-requisite exams and exam candidacy.
- The 2020.2 OSCE will be replaced by the RCE in March 2021, but will still be considered part of the 2020.2 exam semester.
- The 2020.2 RCE will be different to the 2020.1 RCE: Instead of three days of four cases, it will be delivered in two days of six cases. This change was made in response to candidate and examiner feedback.
- All candidates in the RCE will sit on the first days.
- Only candidates with borderline results will be invited to sit on the final day.
- Candidates who sit and are unsuccessful in the 2020.2 RCE (March) will be allowed to enrol in the 2021.1 RCE (July) through a late enrolment process as long as normal exam eligibility requirements are met. For the 2021.1 RCE, eligibility requirements include a valid pass in both AKT and KFP. Detailed instructions on how to enrol via this late enrolment process will be provided to all candidates who were unsuccessful in the 2020.2 RCE at the time of results release.
