About the Clinical Competency Exam
The Clinical Competency Exam (CCE) is the final exam on the pathway to Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP).
The 2022.1 CCE will be delivered over two consecutive weekends in June 2022. Due to ongoing COVID-19 uncertainty, the CCE will be delivered entirely remotely . By making the decision to move to remote delivery early, we can give reassurance that the exam will be delivered regardless of travel restrictions, venue constraints or COVID-19 surges at that time.
The 2022.2 CCE will also be delivered remotely in November 2022.
How it works
Candidates will be presented with nine clinical cases – four case discussions and five clinical encounters. Each case is 15 minutes in duration plus reading time.
Cases across each exam day will test the same skills and competencies at Fellowship standard.
We ask candidates to keep both exam weekends listed below free until notified of their individual exam days and sessions. Each exam session will be up to three hours. Exam sessions will be allocated at the close of enrolments and will be communicated to candidates in the week commencing 16 May 2022.
