This notice is to advise that the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) has published updated versions of the:
From 1 January 2016, Candidates on all RACGP Fellowship Pathways must be a financial RACGP member from the time of joining their chosen pathway and throughout their candidature.
The RACGP recently considered membership categories, particularly the issue of when membership should be taken up. Membership at point of entry into a Fellowship pathway enhances the opportunity for the RACGP to develop relationships with candidates earlier in their journey towards Fellowship. This allows RACGP to provide candidates with educational and collegiate support and access to a number of educational support materials.
This change will help the RACGP improve engagement with candidates by tracking their progress through training, collecting data and seeking and incorporating their feedback into the design and delivery of training pathways.
The policy documents can be accessed via the Education Services policies and procedures page on the RACGP website.
