Registrars are expected to participate in mandatory monthly small-group learning sessions of 1–1.5 hours with their medical educator. Registrars can also attend an optional two-day workshop each term and participate in online discussions. Small-group learning sessions and workshops are generally conducted in working hours, and it’s the registrar’s responsibility to negotiate with their practice any scheduling arrangements or leave required.
