Welcome to the Fellowship Support Program

The Fellowship Support Program (FSP) is a rural self-funded education and training program to support doctors on their journey to Fellowship. It includes structured out-of-practice teaching in the form of small group learning and webinars, in-practice learning and workplace-based assessments (WBAs) for feedback and progress monitoring.

All training is required to occur at accredited training sites with accredited supervisors. For GP terms, ie GPT 1 to 4 and consolidation, these sites need to be accredited as training sites for comprehensive general practice. For Rural Generalist training, the additional rural skills training component is required to be completed at sites specifically accredited for that purpose. The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) is responsible for setting the standards and accrediting these sites for training delivery.
